There’s an on-going webinar series provided by the Interagency Coordinating Committee on the Prevention of Underage Drinking (ICCPUD) that may be of great value to people who are working to reduce underage drinking and the related harms on campus.
This webinar, Brain Research and Underage Screening – Getting Informed, Preparing to Act, will be provided by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA). It’s the second webinar in the series, and it will be covering both cutting-edge research on adolescent brain development, and screening tools that can be used to detect problematic underage drinking.
Since funding from the NIAAA was used during the development of portions of MyStudentBody, I am particularly excited to see what they have to say about these issues. If you can’t listen in live, they have been archiving and posting the webinars on their site, so you won’t miss out on this excellent learning opportunity.
