There’s a great interview on InsideHigherEd with Daniel Reimold, the author of Sex and the University, a new book on student-written sex advice columns.

I find this interesting for a number of reasons. First of all, I’ve written columns and done radio shows on issues relating to sexuality, so I find it interesting from a “shop-talk” perspective, although I have to confess mine have been significantly more health/counseling oriented than autobiographical. Secondly, I think that student-written sex columns (advice or otherwise) offer student affairs professionals a window into an aspect of students’ lives that tend to be mostly hidden to us, except in cases where something has gone horribly wrong, such as STIs, sexual assaults, or break-ups and the emotional aftermath.

With all that said, I have to tell you I’m looking forward to getting this book!
